I know it isn't a YD problem or question per se, but it is related. I cannot log on to the deepstop site at the moment, is there a major problem ?

There is a minor problem which the server peeps are trying to fix. In the meanwhile I ahave taken this opportunity to move the site over to another server which should be finished tomorrow. The data transfer and database backup went fine and I am uploading the files as we speak.

The deep stop has now been moved onto another server and everything seems to be working OK. Some people might have lost any posts they did within the last few hours, but that is just the time it takes to backup and then restore the data unfortunately so I am sorry about that.

On the positive side, this is a faster server, and my next step is to upgrade the software which might make things a little better from the editing side of things.

If there are any problems I haven't discovered yet then please let me know.

Well, it was announced as fixed, so I happily posted an article, but today its gone again. I posted the article after it was said all was complete. Did something get changed last night or this morning that caused the articles to go again, or am I the only one. Am I speshul ? :teeth:

No, sadly, you aren't any more speshul than me.

i have tried to login, unsuccessfully, thought I had got the passowrd wrong, so asked for it to be readvised. Twice (coz i had a technically challenged moment), and the second new password won't work.

Any ideas?

As far as I know everything is working fine. I can see the wing article on you blog ratcliffe, so I am not sure if anything is missing.

To login you must use the name of your website and the password which will have been emailed to you. Each time you ask for the password to be sent to you, the site will send you a new, unique, password.

Both times I was sent 3 emails. One gave me a link, the second said
'Password Lost and Changed for user: scubee' and the third gave me the new password.

When I accessed the link in the first mail, I got a message which said 'Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid' so i went to the login to input my username and new password, which it told me was invalid.
help!!

EDIT: I have now managed to log in. I have no idea what i did differently though

Hi Andy, the wing article is only there because I uploaded it again at lunchtime today. I originally uploaded it yesterday lunchtime, and it was there early evening as I noticed that link from my posts had updated to the new title, but it had gone this morning, so I uploaded it. Its no biggie, I just wanted to make you aware, that was all.

Have I used up my upload capacity?
is there an upload capacity?
can I get more? I don't want to delete files already used on other posts...

Your firewall seems to be locked up too tight. You will need to look at the settings and see if you can allow the posts through.
