Sad news:

taken from The Scotsman site.

Diver dies in west coast accident

A DIVER died yesterday off the west coast of Scotland.

The 49-year-old, who has not been named, was with two others close to an oil terminal near Garelochhead, in Arygll and Bute, when he appeared to get into difficulty.

A group of divers from another party rushed to his aid but he was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Does anyone know if this is the A frames at Finnart Terminal?

Always sad news when you here of a fatality, but makes you sit up and take note when it is a site you frequent! Brings it a bit closer to home.

Condolences to family and friends and to everyone involved.

Colin.

His time was up, we were exercising CG rescue teams with the navy SAR helicopter less than 3 minutes flight time away at the time, still unfortunate and unpleasant though. My deepest condolences to the family.
