Just came across this post.
I worked with Andy on a couple of occasions whilst he was stationed at Killingbeck. I was aware of his passing but all the time I knew him (as a casual working acquaintance) I did not know he was a diver (or that he was a YD member).
He was a really nice bloke, keen at his job and hard as chuffin nails, if a bit eccentric at times
Only goes to show how fragile we really are in the great scheme of things.
Your post brings it all back....
