Hot off the press - Dorothea Quarry has been sold to a hotel developer. Who have been in touch with the HSC and as a result first step is that a safety boat will be on the water from this weekend. MASSIVE investment planned. From a potentially reliable source. Let's hope that the date is not indicative of a red herring.
Anymore news on this - links? Google does not seem to bring anything up.
Anyone any idea how a safety boat scheme would be implemented. IIRC, one of the sticking points before was that the Snowdonia national park bosses do not let boats with engines on any of its waterways - anyone remember the stink a troll called "speedfreak" kicked up on UKdiving a while ago?
Can't say who at this stage, just in case it is a hoax, but I choose to believe the person in question as he is more likely than most to be in the know.
Not there on Saturday 3rd, nor any signs of amassive investment yet
Alan
