your calculation's correct. The fridge draws a surprising amount. I would think twice before leaving it powered up by your car battery if you're not running the engine..

Maplins do what you need 13.8v 6a power supply unit for £34 code RP08J, at the moment I use a car battery charger and put it on the night before, if you plug the cool box in when your driving round,it just tops it. It does the job hope this helps.

I purchased the one from Halfords on Saturday £19.99, tried it out yesterday worked a treat.  Now there is no excuse for not having a nice chilled wine apres diving.
