Like the man said, Whitby would be a bit of a trek to this site. Yes you can launch from the beach at Saltburn and the wreck is only 2 miles or so from there but you'd need a small boat/trailer as it would need to be pushed into the water by hand - no decent slip there. That's why I don't launch from there - that and the 1 in 4 hills either side of it! I can pick up from the beach at Saltburn which cuts down the journey time to the wreck.
