After what seems like an eternity, the first free issue of Beyond The Blue is available for download - as I write it is up there for PC only.

Apparently there has been an upgrade to Mac OS software that is giving the designers a problem and they say they'll have it sorted ASAP but we are putting the pdf download up as we speak.

I hope you'll enjoy the magazine - please let me know your thoughts and don't forget if you like it pass the word on - don't forget it's FREE!!

Fuzzy fonts

minor criticism. The fonts are awful, I can hardly read any of the text on the adverts which I guess as one of the sources of income might not please the advertisers!!

Apart from that it looks good.

Hmph. Same as the beta - bleeds over the screen and I can't see it or turn the pages. :(

Feedback

Folks,

The pdf version will be uploaded to the website in the next hour - also their is a magnifier that is missing so you can read the smaller text. Any other problems please drop me an e.mail to [email protected]
and let me know:

Operating System (PC or Mac)
Operating System (Windows Vista, XP etc)
What the problem is

This way I can forward your e.mail to the designers and then fire you a solution back - it's all a learning curve

Any sign of the .pdf version ?
there is no way I am downloading an exe from the internet that claims it is a "virus protected E-zine"

what on earth can it possibly be written in that requires it to be an exe...

I tend to feel the same way.
I'd like to read it but an exe is a bridge too far.

Smarter people than I am have been caught out assuming their supplier hasn't been virused.

Doesn't anti virus software pick up .exe problems?

It will pick up an exe that is infected by a known virus, yes.

However (not that I am implying Ron would do this) there's nothing to stop you writing a simple piece of evil malware which will delete various files etc on your computer, and your antivirus software won't say a word!
