Any idea of how to open a 100w hid head ?
My buddy has one and sometimes it wouldn't work
but now won't work at all.
The problem is in the head though not sure if
it's the bulb as it looks OK from the front, so wanted
to check the connections etc.
I could be wrong but it looks like you have to remove
the O ring from the lens and then take it apart ?

I suggest you start by cleaning the contacts for the head and the umbilical, a tissue will do. You will probably see some grey material on the tissue as a result. Dirt.
I clean mine on a regular basis, every three years in fact ;)
No need to take the head apart

Thanks Ian, I had done that already as I have had that with my own torch.
I have it sused now it is the silver metal connector on the bottom of the head,
the one shaped like a ring. the solder has come away from it and the pin inside
is moving about.
Just heating up the soldering iron now :D
