would it be anything to do with the last 2 words? ( DIR Tech ) << whatever that meens lol
It's got two boltsnaps :teeth::teeth:
thats always a result !
I reckon I could put that together for under 260 and still have enough change for a beer... even after buying the bolt snaps ;)
so why do you recon they are priced so high then mate?
Have you seen the other items for sale? Cheap as chips :D

i think your definition of cheap and my definition is miles apart mate
Looking at the picture, it looks like an ATX50 and and ATX40, not two ATX 40s as he describes. Still extortionate though!

Hoping to make a killing from a novice with no idea of current market pricing I guess.....other items shows a DS4 and ATX40 for 230 quid, we all know 110 is closer to the mark...

This configuration is known as the DIR setup.
The only thing missing from this setup is the inflator for your BCD - this is excluded as one will come with your BCD that you purchased.
I may be a country boy but I though that the DIR brigade used wings and backplates.
There'll be a whole pack of them along to correct at least one of us in a sec ;)
If you think that is steep, take a look here Peli Pelican 1200 Camera Case & Foam CHEAPEST IN UK on eBay (end time 26-Apr-10 09:20:28 BST)

He even has the gall to suggest "Cheapest in the UK"....

Oh, and I suppose a BCD can be DIR compliant, after all, a BCD is only an acronym for "Buoyancy Compensation Device" which a wing is.....

does that come with the dslr lol and cheapest in uk ! obviousy either deranged or very cheaky
I also particularly like..... " The ATX40 is a workhorse regulator, based on the XTX range, however it is much lighter on the mouth. This arguably makes the ATX range superior to the XTX."

Thought they were the same internally, that the XTX came later and I must have been done 'cos my ATX is bigger and heavier than the XTX reg I use as an octopus.
Item Location: Loughborough - Probably a student trying to make a quick buck
Good for him. If some ignorant idiot will pay that for the regs then I have the utmost respect for him if he manages to flog them.

It's the oldest trick in the book with anything vaguely technical- put "DIR tech extreme cave diving" in your ad and double the price. I would. I am constantly amazed by the prices stuff fetches on eBay- especially Suunto computers.

Bonkers, as Mr. D Rascal esq. (purveyor of finest rappeddy dappeddy songs) would say.
I asked the seller what was so special about his kit to mean that you have to pay in spades..

Hi,

Well for a start, I'm providing more than just the regs, I'm getting these setup ready for use as part of a DIR rig such as modifying some of the hose lengths, moving the hoses around on the ports so that they will route better on a twinset and I'm including bolt snaps that you would need. Tying on boltsnaps is a bugger of a thing to do if you don't know the technique!

I will also teach you how to use the DIR set up as I am a DIR diver! I have done the GUE courses. So if you are local, or am in your area, I can pop by (or vice versa) and teach you how to use it on dry land (drills etc), and eventually I will take you for a dive (I'm unavailable for the next two months due to business commitments but after that I will be available) and show you how it all works underwater.

I believe I am offering the complete package you could say, I wish to make sure my fellow divers are as safe as they can be. Plus diving a twinset with all that gear can be a bit daunting at first.

Thanks again for looking, I hope you think that it is worth buying from me :)

Regards,

Chris
