How to launch a boat - only in America!

This guy bought a new boat and followed the instructions for launching. He was told to avoid getting the trailer hubs wet. What did he do wrong?

No. I'm at the E quator!

Imidiatley on the defencive? It must be. Don't be shy it's an older picture.
