As you might know, the model most decompression planning tools use to generate ICD warnings during gas switches incorporates the solubility coefficients of both nitrogen and helium. It is common practice to use the solubility coefficients for lipids (fats). This results in generating warnings close (a little bit less conservative) to those you would get using the rule of fifth.

However, the scientific community today tends to model the inner ear close to water. That's why the latest version of Ultimate Planner gives the diver the opportunity to choose how to model the inner ear.
