Icelandic ash - I'd like some please

I'm surprised there's none on flea bay, along with the moon rock and Elvis' kidney stones I agree with you, it would be interesting, didn't some guy in Shetland have a car covered in it?

Maybe there's an Icelandic dive forum you could post this on. Just to help you, this is what you should ask:

My cars pretty dusty. I have no idea if its volcanic ash or not but you are welcome to come and clean it!

you'll find most of the stuff in Iceland is actually processed.

We definately have some on the car - nowhere near a teaspoon though! It is very slightly sparkly under strong light and feels slightly gritty.

Let me see if i can wipe some off on a white tissue or something. Closest I can come to collecting it. It is a very fine dusting.

Happy to help out, if I'm not flying out, as my car seems to have far more dust on it than would ever be normal. Only, that does happen sometimes anyway. How can you tell whether it's volcanic?

Got a smearing on a tissue, but not that impressive. Not sure it is worth sending

Yep think my car's covered in it as the BBC correspondent just down the road posted on BBC website that his was - question is how to get it off without scratching paintwork other than washing it off - then again it could just be the usual crap from Avonmouth aluminium smelter.
