I am aware this is a relatively common question on the forum, and sorry for asking something on the same topic again!

Having changed my setup around a bit to reach my valves for shutdowns I am finding I am now getting quite floaty feet. So my thinking is either some ankle weights or some heavy jetfins.

I have just got a new suit with DUI rock boots (size 10), from my reading this falls into a difficult spot where I could get the turtle fins or possible the XL scubapro fins.

What size would I need in turtle fins and is the XL big enough in scubapro's, bearing in mind the DUI rock boots are relatively hefty.

With this in mind is there any significant weight difference in the water between these 2 makes of fin, as ideally I want them to be as heavy as possible.

I struggled getting my XL Jetfins onto my size 10 rockboots and used Turtles which only came in one size I think.

I changed my suit to have Turbosoles rather than the rock boots and managed ok with the XL Scubapro fins

For weight they're about the same buoyancy wise in my experience. The turtle is a larger fin pocket and the blade is slightly different, but I wouldn't even try and get into a jetfin with those boots.

As for spring fins, I'm sure there was a thread on here recently about what size springs with turtles, that might help, but in reality trying them out would be my suggestion, as some people seem to like having fins that are tight as you like or loose as a prom queen in the back of a limo, and getting your gear on and giving them a go is the best way of finding out.

Beaver XXL Jetfins will do the job nicely even with your size 10 Rock Boots.

No no no. What you want is turtles. Every time. They are just a far superior fin for large feet. I am a size 10 and they are the pods, if I had rock boots on etc I wouldn't go near even the biggest NDiver/Beaver jets, I had those before and they were fine. Until I tried the Turtles, and they rocked my world. Honestly, a far superior fin. I know, I would have reccomended the cheapo ones up until a few weeks ago, but now I've seen the light and honestly there's only one thing for it. If you advertise there's a few sets kicking around secondhand, though I can't fathom why. :D
