<font color='#0000FF'>Well since you can only upload pictures with a size up to 30 kb directly to the posts I suggest you go into "image size" and make it about 700 pixels wide. Thereafter you go to "save for web" and reduce the quality of the image 'till you've got your 30kb.

Another way is to upload your images to the free site www.photobucket.com.
Very easy. Follow the instructions. Once you've uploaded the images, any size up to 250 kb, you'll see some lines underneath the thumbnails. You can copy the the lower line and paste it directly into your post...

it will look something like

If the link is valid you'll only see a picture.

Your pictures should in any case be 1000 pixels across or less since that's the normal width of a computer screen.

Capiche?

<font color='#0000FF'>This screen picture has been reduced to 600 pixels across and reduced to 14 percent quality in order to get below 30kb to fit directly into the post. Not too good, huh?

Any roads, please ask again if it's unclear.

<font color='#0000FF'>Yes please, bore us senseless. Nice pictures. I thought the exposure on that triggerfish was just perfect.

About image refining.
Not sure if you did already on some of your pics but try using "autolevel" to start with. If that looks crap just undo and go to "level" and try adjusting the different settings. You'll see where you lack colour on the curves and graphs.
I just did a quick one with you
to show what I mean.
On newer Photoshops you'll find "shadow/highlight". It's a revolution.

<font color='#728FCE'>Hi Jules

Nice pic, but for the life of me I can't see a triggerfish. Must have to get my eyes tested!

Had a look at a book &:

Big fish - Black-Tail Comber

Small fish - Atlantic damselfish

<font color='#0000FF'>Not your eyes. But something has happened. There USED to be a big triggerfish in this thread. Now it's gone. I suspect Jules has got something to do with it. Something she wanted to hide...

<font color='#0000FF'>That'd be fun, but unfortunately we're having a diveclub party so I won't be able to make it. Besides I suspect there'd be problems finding a flight.

Enjoy yourselves.

that naughty triggger fish is back

Bumped this thread to show Gareth (Reeve) how to post pics using photobucket. In photoshop or similar change file size to less than 700 pixels wide before saving to photobucket otherwise they are too wide on the screen.
