Hi all,
I work in the Irish Seaweed Centre, in the National University of Ireland, Galway.
We have a Mexican Student with us who is working on Maerl beds from around the world.
Seaweed.ie :: Irish marl
I was wondering if any of you regularly dive in Maerl beds, and if you do would it be possible for you to collect some samples of Maerl for her.
She would only need 3 - 5 coloured Individual plants, air dried, and put in individual plastic food bags, and have them posted together, by normal post, to her in Ireland.
PM for address.
As her budget doesn't allow for lots of individual payments to separate individuals, she will donate money to the local RNLI on your behalf.
Hoping for some assistance,
Regards,
Declan

Fastest way to get some from Falmouth is to drop Okeanos a line - he'll probably be able to get you some within a few days at his dive rate!

No probs. I may not be able to get some before the weekend, if not I'll do it when I get back from a week away.
