Price? I'll ask.

If it's anything like the system that was going to be toted around last year, about the same a new CCR :)

If so they are daft. A quality hand held video knocks out arround £500 and a 50m housing arround £500. So I seriously hope they keep the costing arround or even under this.

If they do they will sell shead loads but if its 2-4K there will be hardly any takers. You spend that much on video your going to want full lighting systems and control for broadcast quality stuff.

If so id get the mini blue fin housing vid and lighting not one of these.

its only rated to 50m mate ;)

Matt

still when did that stop you :)

Most deep housings are 50-60m rated. There are exceptions. I have taken my little 30m rated housing down to 65m without any leeks but the buttons stop working :D

I have to say once past about 70m in the UK I dont take any distractions with me. The puckering of my arse is normaly enough to keep me entertained :D

I combed the website for the magic words 'low light'.

My experiments in field are with cheap MP3 cameras and have all fallen on the fact that they don't have the range to record in UK waters. The 'focus free' lenses they use are pin-holes and just don't provide enough light.

I'm interested but I want to see a gloomy shot by a torch before I reach for the cheque book.

My video housing is rated to 100m, costed £255 on ebay, a £219 DV camera inside and the BBC are using some footage, so it obviously ain't that bad.

I've still registered interest in it. Great for recording films onto and watching them during deco :D I've got loads of porn to put on it :D

An old thread I know, but it seems these are now ready for the marketplace at around £850, now rated 100m. Has anyone seen/used one yet. The technical info on the website seems a little vague as regards video quality etc. I see divernet are running a competition to win one, so maybe expect a review in diver sometime soon or have I missed it in a previous edition ?

If they are at the dive show and I dont win the one on Divernet before that, then ill be getting one :D

£850 smart pricing. They need to get their web site organised thow not much info or detail on there.
