I always forgot with "the worlds local bank" whenever you update your records online, you also have to go to the branch to do it and then also call the credit card section to update their records as well.

Since dont be fooled into thinking that because your online system says the new address but hey everything of importance still gets blocked because of the old address.

I have no idea how they can send things to the correct address but when you apply for something new or transfer things away, it doesnt work because your address does not match.

this has happened 3 times so far over a few years so not an isolated event. do they have IT/record systems from the stone age or something.

This is why I don't have anything to do with internet banking. I don't trust it. Any computor or terminal is hackable, Computors don't make mistakes Humans do.

To be fair - its normally the customer giving away their details to a phishing scam that allows the scumbags in. 'Hacking' the bank itself is a very rare occurrence because of all of the security in place. The latest security trends mean this will increasingly become harder to do.

You are correct though - humans are the weak - in this case the online banking customer.
