Hello there, I've just seen your post and enquiry from away back in 2006 about a ship wrecked on Stronsay which you suspected may be the Familia Lucken. I'm fairly certain that the vessel would, in fact, have been the Festina Lente, wrecked on Stronsay on 14th March 1898. It ties in well with the Stevenson connection you speak of as William Stevenson of the farm of Holland on Stronsay was presented with an inscribed silver cup by the Norwegian consul in recognition of his kindness and attention to the welfare of the crew. If you could contact me by email at [email protected]. I would be happy to send you what information I have on the ship and the Stevenson family.
Kind regards,
