The Ouroboros Manual...

... is available here (in draft).
Or, if you're feeling lazy or have particularly Victorian work IT practices , I s'pose if you PM me I could e-mail you a copy.

Have you got customer production date set and what will be the end user costs of purchase?

Thanks.

Prepared to be corrected on this, but I've heard the 'end-user' (i.e. retail) price is in the region of about £8K. If true, you'd either have to be a serious devotee of yer man's work or have plenty of gelt to throw around.

Now, where's my cheque book? :D

Pretty close to what I've heard too. Then again, its a whole lot of breather for your money and seems to be designed for "mission critical" type work. ie deep/caves

Then again, have you seen the cost of the new inspiration with vision electronics and all the widgets. Ouch!

I'll stick to my bit of specialist bogpipe from Gordon ;)

We had a poke around it at the dive show and were told £7,500 - £8,000 as well. It seems to be a pretty heaftily engineered bit of kit though (this from an armchair RB user though :D).

Ouroboros rebreather

For those of you who are interested Al Wright and myself are flying out to Majorca with Kevin Gurr on 17th February to in-water test the IANTD Ouroboros Rebreather Course. This is in preperation for a liv-a-board trip in April where the first Ouroboros customers will be diving the units for the first time.

I will be more than happy to feed back on the unit to the Forum on my return although if it is anything like the test units Al and I dived last January and March then it should be all smiles.

Happy hunting.

Still nowhere near diving a box.

I am however going to be in Majorca in April (Soller). I'd appreciate any info on any diving available in mid April in the area. One local dive operation (octopus) advertise as not being open for business until May.

If I can find some diving it will stop me having to walk up some hills which can't be good for you.

Hi all,

also very interested in anywhere on the island it's possible to obtain oxygen and ideally helium. I understand the Octopus diving don't do either.

does anyone have any experience of freighting gas out beforehand (anywhere for that matter)

thanks
