We dropped in on the Persier, Bigbury bay today to a superb 8 metres viz and a whole clutch of congers, it was thick with shoals of fish, forests of pink sea fans and for most of the dive we had it to ourselves only to be gatecrashes by a groups of bottom stirrers who reduced the viz with every fin kick, I was happy to go up after witnesses on muppet trying to get a conger out of her hole using a flattie stabber.... 'kin idiot....

Anyway, before the party was spoiled I grabbed a couple of nice shots, can't believe this bloody fish turned out of frame just as I hit the button, it would have been my best shot to date if it had a full fish in it...

I do like the last one well exposed, very easy to blow congers out around the lips.

Is the first one a bib (pouting) ?

I have never blown a conger, it is just a vicious rumour, the fish is a headless pouting...

I still like the first one, even though you haven't got its head in the shot. The colour on the scales is lovely :)

They can make a mess if they bite you in the face.
