I am trying to complete a group of buddies for winter dives on a top boat from Portland this winter. See www.skindeepdiving.co.uk . We have provisional bookings for 10/11th Jan, 14/15 Feb and confirmed for 6/7 March. The boat and skipper are excellent and you can check them out on the web. The Jan/Feb dates are still open because we need a min of 6 divers. SkinDeep also have a very good value package  re full w/end + accommodation etc for £75.
PM if you are interested or want to have a chat. Alternatively contact Ian at SkinDeep on 01305787372

Hi there

As promised, confirm Caroline and I for January.  We will probably want the accomodation package as well, do we contact the guy direct nearer the time for that?

Cheers

Lou

Hi Lou, excellent news. You're welcome to contact Ian on the number above to add your names to the Jan dates. I was planning to get to the minimum 6 confirmed before I called him back, so if he tells you about needing minimum 6 etc, just tell him we're working at it as a group etc.

Oh alright then stick me down if you want the dive cancelled due to bad weather. I fancied Feb but I suppose as the lovely Lou and cute Caroline are doing Jan I'll have some of that too.

I do like a boat with a lift.

Good man Matt! Do you have a reputation as a rainmaker?
Imported post

Rain, storms, snow I get blamed for the lot.
Totally unfounded as I have been on some good weather dives too. Mind I've had them canned in the Med in mid-summer cos a force 8 blew up, supposedly one of the worst they had ever seen in August, good fun on a rib though.
The skipper had to wear snorkel and mask.

Any idea as to what time the first dive will be on the Saturday.

Matt, slack on the 10th will be lunchtime, so the boat will leave Sat morning at a very civilised 10.00 am.

Hi,
I'm interested in the Feb trip. Are there still spaces left?

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,

The Feb weekend is still a clean sheet, although Matt's expressed interest, in which case we'd need an extra 3 min.

Hi Frogkick, just viewed there website

skindeep diving

Looks a great boat and has a lift.

l am interested, will give you a definate yes or no by the end of the week.

Do you want me to ring you or the skipper to add myself to the list?

Howard you in for Jan and/or the other w/ends too?

Paul lives nr me (St.Albans) so we could do a mass car share so long as you have something huge. Paul has a micra and I have an Astra. So I'm hoping you have a BIGGIE or we could always use one of your flat backs?
Up for it?

Aiming for just the Jan gig.

Choice of transport
15yr clapped out transit box van.
Newish Transit flatbed pickup
Land Rover discovery.

Tough choice, l think the landy just shades it, the only problem is the CD's not working.

Stick Paul on the back of the flat back he can look after the kit

OK Jan for me too, not sure about the other two just yet, but possible.

Would a share be practical?

Hi Howard,

Yes, the boat looks great, it's got a lift and the skipper is highly recommended. just let me know when you decide, either on this thread or PM me. If you call Ian, just tell him you're part of the same group Philip is trying to organise for 10/11 Jan. He will only confirm the booking when there are 6 of us, and currently we're up to 5, possibly 6 or more next week when I hear from an extra couple of people who are currently away.

ps. you have to make the trip. I really want to see the horny-hood!

Phil
looks like you get to share a room with Howard then, the other two either one a svelte blonde? Preferably a girl.

Matt

you just wish Matt ..  Spoken like another married dad - We live in hope of getting bunked up with loose blondes ..

The other two potentials are definitely blokes, but I could always try to amend my original post and put in your buddy prerequisites..
Imported post

I slept with a Swdish blonde at the Farnes, thank John Gulliver for that, mind he had 4 or 5 Swedish blondes in his bunk house. Yeah - they were all blokes!! As was my buddy.

Speaking of the Farnes....you guys can go for the 4-bed rooms, C & I will have a 2-bed.  We are not getting as nearly lumbered with Matt's snoring as we did then.  We came within a couple of hours of sleeping with him until another room became available!

Lou

Yeah that was a rotten bit of luck, I even tried bribing the owner to say the rooms were leaking but he wouldnt have any of it.
Blown out in Wales too.
I know its the Speedos Lou, you cant resist for ever you know you cant.

Well, I can look at everyone elses kit flying of fthe back of the truck into the oncoming traffic whilst I wear mine to (attempt to) stop from freezing to death anyway

Actually, it's possible I may now be able to make the Jan trip instead/as well. Any places left for that?
