<font color='#333399'>John.
When you are writing your posts you will see a row of additional icons such as http://, quote, image etc at the top of your posting box.
When you want to add a quote click on your quote icon and this will appear where you are typing
add your quote by copy and paste or type it in, then click on the quote icon again and this will appear  [/quote  ]  that should give you the start and finish to the QUOTE.
Then post as normal and it should be in its own box.
Think this makes sense.
Cheers
Bob

Or.... if you are wanting to take a quote from a previous persons post as I have done with Bobs for example, then just use the 'Quote' link positioned at the top right of each post.

Once the screen appears that allows you to reply you will see two windows.. the lower one contains the text you might want to quote... remove or leave as much as you wish and then type in your own message in the upper window.

Hey John nice piccy.

How old did you  say you were?  I know its supposed to be an avatar but getting some younger chap to be it for you doesn't really count!

Ha-Ha! I'll be 65 in June, Tim. I go to a diving medicine specialist every spring and intend to continue diving as long as he says I'm fit to. Cousteau still dived when he was over 80 but I doubt if I'll be able to equal that. I started diving the same year as my 50th birthday, so I've a lot of time to make up compared to most of you. I do about 100 dives a year, though, about two thirds of them in Sweden (we can always find somewhere to dive in any weather here), so I'm catching up slowly. The pic came from an article about me in a local Gothenburg daily paper last summer. They wanted to have an article about the increasingly popular pastime of sport diving and thought it more interesting to feature an old fart like me than the typical macho 25-30-year-old Swedish diver. Most people stop diving much earlier here than in the UK, so divers aged over 45 or so are quite uncommon.

Well good on ya John.  I tell ya, the way I felt getting out of the water today, I felt a lot older than you look!

Long may your diving continue - the day that we're told to give up, must be a very sad day indeed - as PeterK would testify (and thats hopefully only a short term thing).
