Rash Vest VS Thermal Rash Vest

Can you really feel the difference between a rash vest and a thermal rash vest?
thickness seems almost the same, even material.

Does a thermal one really keeps you warmer??

Looking at buying either a Mares / Billabong / Rip Curl / Qicksilver / Roxy ones currently.

Anyone got any experience in those rash vests?
Please advice. Thanks

Yes though not as much as a Thermocline compared to a standard rashy. Can't comment on the brands you mentioned as I haven't tried those - the thermal one a tried was Body Glove IIRC. Long time ago now.
The difference is marketing :) also if anyone tells you they keep you as warm as a 3mm wetsuit ignore them.....

0.5mm is a rash vest, I used the mares version to add a touch of extra 'warmth' to wetsuit/shorty
