If you are looking for something on the cheap side you could try the Travel Lodge at the Aust services on the M48. Yes you will have the £5.10 bridge toll but the price is per room not per person. I can also highly recoment the Boar at Aust pub. 10min walk from services. Don't plan to stay at services as there is nothing there.

It is.

The drive is somewhat longer, you are convinced you have gone too far, when you have not gone far enough.

I do like the idea of a close curry house though

The George Inn is good, may be a bit on the expensive side for B&B but it does serve good food and there is another pub within 5mins walk that serves more good food as well.

I think its a 5 -10min drive from the dive site.
