Just had a Cyklon O2 cleaned and serviced - £56.
Good price or not?
Curious that's all.
Thanks

Mate of mine had an Apex DS4 First + two seconds and a contents gauge done for £28

I had a DS4 and a TX50 second done for £18

£56 seems a bit steep but it may be down to the price of the spares kit.

Cheers,
Rob.

My cyklon is being O2 cleaned as we speak.

I did ask a centre over near chester and they quoted a very similar price.  I asked Diver Warehouse nad they quoted.......wait for this..........36 squiddies = service 33 and O2 cleaning 3quid.  So very cheap.

Will confirm when I get them back though.

LMFAO! when did you last buy a poseiden service kit!?

Its fair to say their kits are at the "inflated" end of the cost spectrum.

That's about what I get charged for the annual service, last time done at Divers Warehouse, so Tim there might be some extras to pay for.

If you're happy with the service you got and you are comfortable that thery will keep you alive for another year then I suggest the price was fine :D

I got a mate to show me how to service my regs and bought some O2 grease. Unless i have to replace parts it costs me nothing to service my regs (other than using a tiny bit of 02 grease).

Poseidons are easy to do, the manuals good. PM if you want a copy of them and i'll sort you out.

<Edit>
Here (ireland) it would cost me 90euro ( 61.9917 GBP) per reg to service and seeing as i have 3 regs right now and maybe a fourth this season, it just makes sense to do it myself.

That price is excuding 02 clean and part AFAIRC.

And yes we do get ripped off in ireland.

Why are we talking about prices from a thread started 8 months ago and finished within 4 posts and 2 days, all of sudden?
Dunno.

And it was started in June 2003....

Its on of those wierd things that just happens. (Often Bren at 4 in the morning...)

But we can start over if you like.

Just had mine (stages Oceanic/Scubapro ) done at 49 and 52 Euro.

Or drop it if you prefer.

i have 7 at the min had them about 5 year think they were £9 each
to tell the truth you dont need them, most of the time a good wash and set ip is all you need to do ,

i have one that is 20 years old never had to change hp seat to date
that,s all i can say

what works , works :shade:

See you on the wrecks off malin, you can see all my free flowing regs , 1st hand ,
