Came across someone talking about SCUBA whiskers and was wondering what other peoples experiences of them were?

Is that another name for BSAC beards?
The only reference to whiskers I have heard was when describing Custom Divers wings.

TCW = The Cats Whiskers
TDB - The Dog Bollocks

I think they are both wrong, should be POS, like all CD gear*

*Note: Personal opinion. Some people like it, however every piece I have ever owned was shit, or it broke, or didn't do it's job properly
ive got the T D B wing and its exactly as the ltters sugest

The dogs bollox :shade:

and a snip at 400 quid
See less See more
as in force fins whiskers???

Nah, think I will stick with my little Apeks, the TDB would make my lovely little 7s disappear :)

Been up to The Clyde and some guys were trying these out. They are hood attachments that gauge whether you can fit through holes in wrecks. Interesting...

f*ck me. Im selling bottles of common sense if anyone wants them. Dose scales with income, if you give me 0.2% of your annual take home I'll send you some.
heard these mentioned when up in the clyde recently, not many details though.... to assist wreck penetration ???

Not being sold by Rec_Tec_Cave on Ebay were they?

I have to say, that is quite possibly one of the supidest things I have heard when it comes to selling divers tat, even worse than a TDB;) (haha Leigh:D)
WTF is wrong with your eyes and the stuff that generally occupies the space between your ears?
I heard about these too from one of our members and I thought he was taking the piss!!

Am I missing something or if you can't fit through a hole you hear a loud clang as your cyls hit something!

I normally find if my head and shoulders don't fit then the gaps not big enough......
And lets face it you can normally tell by looking if you think it'll be big enough!
But then again I don't try and fit through impossibly small holes or where I can't see daylight the other side.
Heard there are new ones made by some German company, you can get digital readouts as you approach a hole. Sounds useful if you can't see but expensive ;o)
So they are the dogs bollocks.....cut off and thrown in the bin just when you thought you had a use for them.

Anyone know if they integrate with the Oceanic HUD?
