I was reading Diggers thread about possible dives out of plymouth and have decided that I need to get some sea dives in. I beleive that the Scylla (?) and the JEL are quite close and well worth a dive or two so its out with the muddy puddles and in for some real dives

Gonna have to be a full weekend as travel is a hike from Cheshire, so some info would be useful:

1.  Do I need to worry about tides for these wrecks
2.  whats the general vis
3.  Whats the best dive outfit to go with
4.  Any recommended B&B`s or campsites

Thanks - these sound like a couple of wrecks to try my camera gear on

Thanks

Kirky

1 Not particularly, a bit of current on Springs. 24/25m max depth on both.
2
we had 5-7m Tuesday, both wrecks.
3 Storm, Venture, Furious, Maid Maggie, Sea King - much of a muchness
4 We used Riverside last August, B&B plenty, but Mountbatten does £40 a room. Mark Davies may have more info when he returns.

Most of us stayed in the Premier Lodge - special offer £27 per room (not per person).
Nice and comfortable, breakfast not included.

JEL - featured as a wreck tour article in the April edition of Diver.

Scylla - I believe plans of the Scylla are on sale at the NMA.

Hi Kirky

I just booked a trip for my club with ceeking for a dozen of us mid week in July, they do the boat and B&B so cuts down on hassle. I got the positive feedback about then from HelenM.

James,

I hope you enjoy your trip - as I said to you before I found these guys to be excellent.  Would quite happily recommend them to anyone heading down to Plymouth.

Do me a favour when you are down there and ask Richard how many of the smiley mugs he's had broken so far this summer... We were all living in fear of being the first

He's a poppet & an excellent skipper.  You'll have a great time.
