Shark Bites Man

Oh yes the stereotypical picture of the big bad toothy nursy shark to make a point!

I am always cynical of these stories, especially related to carpet sharks and relatively docile species.  I wonder whether the facts are accurate or whether the "victims" account is slightly different from the facts.

Unprovoked attacks, do in the main seem extremely rare.

I would concure.

The sand tigers are also known as Grey Nurse Sharks in some areas such as South Africa or Raggies.

Not too be confused with the very sweet bottom dwelling nurse sharks, which are one of my favourites having had one swim around me and between me and a dive guide on one of my first dives in Mexico.   Followed us all the way to our safety stop and only departed when we had to surface
