The talk about the Scylla was interesting, The Schiller was ok as well. The Mary rose excavation 2003 video made the afternoon bearable but Mike Pitts "Filming deep wrecks" was dull as arseholes.  He's done a bit of work on Blue planet and has an amazing resume, he couldn't be any more up himself if he'd tried.  McCartney, larn, Oldham were charming and i might have blagged a dive on the Salcombe gold wreck.

It's just as well you didn't come all the way down here for it, it was the dullest one i've been to in the last 5 years.  If it was your 1st visit to the conference, you would've been disappointed and wouldn't go to next years.   You're right about Richard Larn, he's a lovely bloke and could make even the most boring subject sound interesting.

Wish i could have a centre like his one in Charlestown , well worth a visit by any diver in he area.

So few people realise it even exists, they could make a full day of it after spending half at Eden.

He's a bloody good diiver too. He started diving in 1947 - the year I was born. He's also a real expert with explosives. When we were working the Dartmouth, he was using 'jelly' to break off the concretion leaving the cannon itself intact. That really takes some doing.
