Well wilth my hard earned overtime cash in the bank i have allowed myself to buy a stage rig.
I am currently using twins with a pony however ultimatley will be going onto accelerated deco once i return from my Scapa trip in August.
Thing is what stage cylinder do i buy.

7lt steel or an Ali one?

If you have a couple of mins could you guys write down a few pro's/ con's with regards to stage bottles

Kind regards

Ali's more buoyant in the water and can often float up especially when empty.
Steels tend to be more negative and always hang down. (but don't count on it).
Out of the water they weigh pretty much the same.

I personally use a pair of steel 7s and as that's what I'm used to that's what I prefer but liking Ali's is just as valid.
One man's 'floating up out of harm' is another's 'bobbing about getting in the way'.

...don't get us started on boots.
