I'm still waiting for Wilbo to let me have the art work that has already been passed by the RNLI. I thought he might have sent it by now, not sure what the hold up is.

I think Morag has contacted him but can't remember the outcome:embarassed:

If I don't get it by Monday i'll go ahead and design some more and get them passed by RNLI, it may be quicker.

I don't want to start a thread and then take too much time getting the "wrappers" sorted.

oooh..... I forgot you had asked Wilbo for the artwork... I have just PM'd him for it. hey ho... I think he may be away this week - there was somethign on a thread about him buyins a cylinder, and being in London.

When i spoke to the RNLI, - one of the two names you gave me - she told me who needed to pass the artwork, who happened to be a person that my money contact at teh RNLI had copied into the email turning down the use of the logo. I ahev been really busy, and not had a chance to email her, but I will get time this weekend.

Does it make sense if we have just one of us communicating with them, so that they are helped to be consistent?

I think it would be best if just the one of us acts as Liason with the RNLI. I don't mind doing it but as you are heading up our little group do you think it would be better if it came from you?

I wasn't aware they had turned down any logo's, which logo was it?

Contrary to first impressions i'm struggling for time this weekend, i'm on duty today, tomorrow and Monday and am ducking in and out of here in between jobs:embarassed:

I think if some kind of rapport can be built up between any one of us and someone at RNLI then it's best to keep that rapport going. There was someone from RNLI who posted one a thread somewhere offering to help but I can't remember who or what thread.

I was thinking a thread in our section of the forum so we can keep the threads about the different ideas seperate, rather than a general thread for the masses :)

ok... as i have to liaise with them anyway over the money, i am happy to stick at that. I think you are right - it is easier for one person to build up a rapport.

They haven't turned down any art work, what they have said is that some of the things we first suggested were declined because of VAT and the company they use for 'official' RNLI stuff. However, i think this was a lot to do with the request being misunderstood - i will go back and sort it out.

i have had a PM from Wilbo. He is away, and will email me the artwork from last year when he gats back.

I have been in discussion with Simon (Pen Simon) who did the mugs. We have worked out a way of doing it, and once the RNLI agree, we can get those sorted. To maximise things, I am going to buy a number of mugs off Simon, (however many people have pre-ordered and paid for). He will send them all to me, and we will rely on YD post to distribute. More for the coffers. :)

Time is an issue for all of us - we can only do what we have time for, sp don't worry!
