The good side:

Being in the sun every day and having nice warm clear water
Doing what you sit at work dreaming about doing
Getting very fit
Working with people who are generally happy

The bad side:
Poor pay
Long hours
Being nice to the rare people who are a pain in the neck
Pissy wetsuits

:)

Actually the real stomach churner is pissy boots!!!! But so long as you learn to breathe through mouth washing kit, you should have a great time.

Good side. Nice weather pretty much guaranteed

Down side:- pay and hours usually.

Cant take about elsewhere but in the med instructor wage is generally €800 a month plus 5% or rarely 10% commission on courses. Sometimes accomodation is provided in that, sometimes not.
Hours wise, typically 6 days a week and 10 or 12hrs a day is normal.

Divemasters typically €600 a month, 6 or 7 days a week.

In short, you may make enough to break even but arent going to get rich in the med certainly!

Slight variations between countries there but the above figures seem about average.
