I've just managed to buy a Bhundu Boys CD on ebay for £16 plus delivery. It was down to the last minute before the end of the auction when i got outbid, I got a rebid in quick and won. It's quite a rare CD ... just found out how rare based on how much it's going for on other sites:

Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: True Jit

Now I'm sitting here pleased with myself, at saving between £34 and £150!

I know I could have probably found it on a torrent, but I wanted the actual CD.

Anyway, just had to tell someone!

Well done :)

For future last minute bids, try an auction stealer (also called bid sniper), they are automated systems that put your maximum bid into fleabay in the last 10 seconds so you don't cause the bid to keep rising ;)

I mainly use Hammersnipe which allows you to make 3 free bids each week. It can make a real difference if you only place one genuinely last minute bid to the price you win at as you've not been causing others to up their bids to beat your last one and in the last 10 seconds, it's unlikely that you will get outbid again unless someone else is using a similar system that bids even later. Of course if your final bid is not high enough, you still don't win, but you can set it and forget it.
