Am messing with a new setup so you might see a "Tweetboard" module appearing and disappearing on the left hand side of the screen. Please ignore it :)

Ok, we are developing the YD Twitter feed to greater effect. It will no longer chuck out all the content from the forums but will only mirror the trip reports, buddy requests, UK and Worldwide trip forums. If anyone has a SCUBA twitter account, request us at YD_Forums to have your Twitter posts appear on the Tweetboard.

What's the point? If you don't use Twitter, then there is none - the link on the lefthand side is unobtrusive so ignore it :)

If you do use Twitter then you can, for example, post to your Twitter account after a dive abroad and have it appear on YD without a need to log onto the actual forums.

Just a bit of fun - not sure if it will work out but who knows :)

Hi Jay, well done for continuing to improve YD. I'm not really on twitter - is there anyway of hiding the link on the left-hand side? Or putting it at the top. It's in a funny place for me.

Janos
No - not that I can see Janos
Hi Jay,

Problem for me is location also, it is right next to "New Posts" which is where I click most often, and to be honest I don't really see the point of Twitter as an idea. Opening the window etc and then closing again takes a while on my system.

Ideally if we could move it to top left next to the YD logo it would be out of the way and mousetards like me wouldn't have the problem.

Digs.

I can't. I can even see it when I'm not looking at my screen. It's ...... it's burnt itself into my retina!

:)
Just an observation, but in mobile view on my particular phone ( Nokia 5800) it covers the left hand side of the top 3 New Post titles, which means you can't read some of them.
Removed - short lived experiment that :D
