Not either of these but there was about 5m on the Rosehill on Tuesday, usually there is more on the JEL.

The seas are pretty flat around here at the moment, you should be on for a good couple of days.

They have supposedly started dumping silt in Whitsand Bay, but haven't heard of any effects yet.

The vis is good in the Sound and was great on the Glen Strath not so long ago - and the weather's been good since.

Why are they dumping silt near a national marine aquarium project? Are they allowed to do that?
Because they're the MOD and they can do what the pretty well want - Whitsand Bay is the designated dumping area....

slightly down the coast but we dived the Ailsa Craige out of Lyme with around half a metre vis today, better close in with around 8 mtr on the reef
Viz in the SW

Hi, I was down on the Silla last Saturday, viz was about 5-6m, bit of a current running though.

Edit: OK I was being a bit on the lean side at 5-6m but there was a lot of scatter in the water and yes I know the dome port hood is on wonky in the picture!!

White horses of rame but some boats were diving J.E.L .
As for the dumping of dockyard crap in that area they have been doing it for years at one stage in the bay of Queeners just of rame there was like an orange jelly on the sea bed about a foot deep everywhere. that was about 10 years ago. There are still patches of it about today. As a result there was a potition to the MOD to stop this dumping sadly to no avail.
on the JEL on Tuesday, viz was about 7-10 meters
bit snotty though
dumping is not extensive at the moment, they are only using a small dredger, so i am wondering if its a storm in a teacup or wether it will increase over time.

It's a god job Wigan hasn't got a coast line, you'd never shut up about proper food then!

To be fair pasties at Porthkerris weren't half bad, but I'd rather have had a baby's yed.
