Brand new and never even been switched on!

Current new price c£650 - Offers around £550 or view on Ebay

If you are new to diving this versatile dive computer will grow with you as your diving requirements change. It starts off as C1, which means it can be used for both air and nitrox and then if you want to get into mixed gas diving and / or rebreathers it is upgradeable by simply purchasing a PIN code from the manufacturer. It’s a very robust, yet precise computer, that has an excellent reputation and after sales service.

I received this fantastic piece of kit as a gift but I already have two other computers that are both newish and I only have two arms! I dived with the older version of VR3 for quite some while and I must say I found it a brilliant piece of kit and, from what I’m told and have read, the latest HD version is even better.

If you are an experienced diver you’ll probably know a lot about the VR3 but in case you are unfamiliar with the VR3 here is some info from the manufacturers.

NEW! OUTSTANDING screen visibility via a backlit white screen on both single & multi-colour units.
NEW! PIN upgradeability from Single Colour to Multi Colour.
NEW! A free of charge 3 dive Multi Colour trail for Single Colour VR3 owners.
NEW! Faster and more user-friendly screen navigation process.
NEW! A new Mini-Screen Pre-dive Check feature.
NEW! A revolutionary interactive Display Modes feature allowing the diver to choose which information is displayed on the dive screen, and thus.
NEW! A unique User-Customisable Dive Screen, and a new Dive Profile and Look Ahead Graphic feature on the Dive Screen.

At the moment you may need to think about the price. Due to the VR Technologies offer, Divers Warehouse are currently doing VR3 with everything unlocked for £500. All you need to do is give them "any computer - working or not, or any watch, working or not."

If someone wanted a VR3, it makes sense to chuck in a 99p digitial watch and come out with the full HD, C4, VB etc model.

Think that offer is only on till the end of the month though when prices may stabilise again.

Bugger! I did check out their site but thought the offer had finished. Thanks for the heads up.
