Doing most of my diving in UK in a drysuit, I guess I'm in for a treat when I do a red sea liveaboard in March. Only question is..... what wet suit will I need - i have a 3mm full suit, but will that be thick enough??

Hi Gary,

a number of us were doing the northern Itinery in early Nov - I was happy in a 5mm shortie - a couple of others (both northeners) were to be seen with nothing but their swimming shorts.  As you can imagine it often came as quite a shock to the Italians (that were fully kitted out in thick semi-dry's and hoods) to see a couple of blue brits swimming along quite happily at 25m!

The water temp then was 27 degrees, I would imagine you would be ok in a 3mm, full suit.

<font color='#8D38C9'>did sharm last jan, took a 3mm full wet suit. Was cold on hour long dives so ended up borrowing a crew members shortie to wear over it.

Would suggest a 5mm unless your very well insulated
