I did a night dive in a fiord about 50 miles north of Gothenburg this evening and just about everything possible went wrong, mostly due to the cold (minus 8 degrees Celsius).
1. My octopus free-flowed before I got in the water. It wouldn't stop, so I had to remove it and put a plug in the hole.
2. When I checked the inflator on my new TPII it had frozen closed. I had to jump in with an empty BC.
3. One of my fin straps broke when I put my fins on (see, it happens!).
4. The valve on my pony bottle leaked a cloud of bubbles.
5. I lost a fin at the end of the dive.
Happy diving!
