Hi, thanks for you help with my previous query. Not yet got around to getting the glue, so can't give any feedback as requested. Will do so though.

My question: does anybody know where I can get molds for lead weights? Yes, I know I could use sand and I'll use my bp to form a p-weight, but I also want to make a lot of standard weights (not just for me!) so would prefer a proper mold if I can get one.

Cheers
Lawrence

I used sand to make mine.  It was pretty easy.   I made a wooden weight first (didn't have much sucess with using a lead weight as a pattern) and stomped it into a sand box.  The moulding process was very quick: stomp in a mould, pour the lead, wait a minute, hook it out, repeat.  I've heard that using 'proper' moulds can be hard as the lead sticks in the mould and everything gets too hot to handle so each pour is quite an effort.

So, in answer to your question, no, I don't know where to get a mould:)

You have to heat the ali mould up as well, other wise lead sticks to it.
