I recently returned from a trip to Egypt and two of us have the Epoque Wide-Angle Lense on our cameras.

When cleaning the kit at the end of the trip, Steve (my buddy) noticed lots of marks on his lense which appeared to be on the inside of the large end.

I noticed them on mine too but not as pronouned as his.

If you run them under a cold tap, a small misted area appears in the middle of the lense (inside) which would indicate to me that moisture is in there.

We rang camerasunderwater to explain the problem and they say "yeah, send em back" which we will.

Has anybody else had this problem with a wide-angle lense? I'd assume that an underwater lense of this type would be environmentally sealed with dry air.

Mark.

I have the Epoque wide and never had this - sounds like a sealing problem. Mine does have a discolouration of the coating on the outer face of the lens, though it isn't visible in pics and seems to vanish underwater.

TBH, I haven't used it since I went SLR, but I'm not selling it as the results it delivers are very nice.
