<font color='#F52887'>Is there a chart or anything that allows you to work out windchill? I dived the Elk and Hillsea pioint today and It was good to get in the water to warm up after the RIB ride to the sites!

John

Yes there is, and i cannot remember where it is. I used to have a table when i taught skiing and did a bit of ski touring and ski mountaineering.

Its basic mountain skills so an outwards bound site could well take you to it.

Its a few years since i did all that stuff

<font color='#0000FF'>John,

My kids got a key ring thermometer from the RNLI, they have it on the zip's of their coats. On the reverse is a wind scale chart.

Neat idea,

Most lifeboat stations stock them, if your not near a station, have a look on their website in the SHOP/GIFTS section.  If you need more help, i'm down my local station on Thursday, i'll have a look there for one for you.

Don't mention windchill -
It will take Andy back to his cabbagehead days and he'll be on the sick like the rest of the 'Royals' that came back from Norway last week!!
