"A" beer ............ wow ........... gee .............. thanks!I (well my dad's old bonds) came up 100 notes last month. My dad was lucky (apart from the death thing) so I'm keeping them as bonds.
Bryan, if I come up with the mill I'll buy you a beer mate.
Chris
Oh alright. And a new wooly hat"A" beer ............ wow ........... gee .............. thanks!
Looks like they finally got round to doing the draw thenSeems im not the only one that suddenly started winning.
I haven't won for ages :frown: and I regularly used to pick up £50 chequesLooks like they finally got round to doing the draw then
maybe because interest rates have gone up - the chance of winning is linked to interest rates, apparently http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/premium-bondsOn the subject of premium bonds having won exactly sod all i won £50 in April for first time ever.
Then i won £50 in may as well.
Took the cheque to the bank and girl working there said "Oh another one. You wouldn't believe how many of these we've had in the last 2 months".
Seems im not the only one that suddenly started winning.
I was bought one by my Grandad when I was born (in 1961 - a lot of money in them days). Don't know where it is. I wonder if it's won anything yet?I've had mine for 2 years now not just a couple either and have won the grand total of feck all. My mate on the other hand wins every other month or so and of course constantly tells me about it:angry:
Well yours is older than mine - I was a bigger nipper at the time but it was 1963. Its not won anything. I think me and Sparky are alike. I never win anything but my old man always did. He won the pools, the lottery and just about all the old-folk's raffles every week. So if the bonds don't win anything now they are transfered to me it is really me that is jinxed. If they win are they lucky numbers or my old man's good fortune from the grave?I was bought one by my Grandad when I was born (in 1961 - a lot of money in them days). Don't know where it is. I wonder if it's won anything yet?
Could be the case, went on their site and unlike the lottery premium bonds are fixed prize amounts and varying number of winners. Still odd to get so much of a change the bank noticed though!maybe because interest rates have gone up - the chance of winning is linked to interest rates, apparently Premium Bonds: Are they worth it?...
You can still check and find out about lost PB's - make sure you use the correct site. I fell for the "this looks like the right place to check" and got succored into paying something ............ I don't remember how .......... f*ck*ng cnuts!!! I phoned up to give someone earache but ................I was bought one by my Grandad when I was born (in 1961 - a lot of money in them days). Don't know where it is. I wonder if it's won anything yet?
Yes! If there were any other sad gits like you they would know your number and give you ring!!! :teeth:Am I the only sad git who knows the first few digits of my own two (when I bought mine, the minimum purchase was two) premium bonds (4BN 08), my mums (1FF) one brothers (1AS) and other brothers (1AW)?
I even remember my best mates phone number when I was twelve!
