My BCD has sprung a leak - is it worth/possible to repair at home - any experience getting a repair done in less than two weeks as I'm off to sharm in May - it's an oceanic probe any advice much welcomed

If it's a hole or tear, you can use black witch glue (I think) to stick a patch of BC material over it.

I got my local dive shop (Dive Force Marine North London  ) to do this for me a while back, ÂŁ5, bargaina nd been right as rain over many dives since.

If it's one of the dumps try opening them up, cleaning them and flipping the rubber seat over.

Hmm, wish I'd followed your advice Dave!

My ancient buddy wasn't staying inflated for very long. My lds sent it to AP Valves who said it would cost something like ÂŁ65 to get a new bladder. I decided not to spend that much on an old bcd.

Good luck with yours Snorkeldude.
