Don't pull at the seal when you don the suit. Tip is to slide it over your head with your hands flat with the palms against the side of your head. Neoprene does stretch and once it has it's a bugger to sort. You could try cutting a long V shape (widest at the top where your head is) and butt joining the sides together then taping the seam inside and see how you get on.

An alternative would be an Apollo bio seal underneath to give the neo something to sit against but for the cost you're probably just as well getting the final solution.

If that fails it's a new neo seal for you. Next time don't pull it over your head with your fingers inside the seal.

The other alternative is to make a ring out of a neoprene offcut which is tighter than your neckseal. Tuck your folded over neckseal into this. I managed to survive a whole season when my neckseal got a bit incompetent and I didn't want to miss diving while it was replaced.

I did this on the missus' Otter. It has been fine for three years and a big number of dives over that time. Make sure the join is taped up though not stitched as you get a cleaner join. The only observation is that you lose some of the stretch, but it is a good and permanent repair.

Its not a hard DIY job and if you screw up well you needed a new seal anyway :D
